Trinity Racing Team ends the 2026 Drift Masters season with three wins
Three round wins, two drivers in the top five and a stadium victory in front of about 55,000 spectators: how the Spanish-Ukrainian team closed its 2026 season.

Trinity Racing Team has closed the 2026 Drift Masters season with three round wins from seven events. The Spanish-Ukrainian team placed two drivers in the top five of the championship, finished the year as runner-up with Conor Shanahan and won the biggest night of the season, the Grand Finale at Warsaw's PGE Narodowy stadium.
The season at a glance
- Three round wins in seven rounds: Vallelunga and Warsaw for Conor Shanahan, Ahvenisto for Jack Shanahan.
- Conor Shanahan reached four finals, won two and finished the championship second with 474 points.
- Jack Shanahan took his first Drift Masters win since Riga 2023 and finished fifth overall with 357 points.
- Both brothers stood on the same podium in Ferropolis, Germany.
A Spanish-Ukrainian team on Europe's big drift stage
Trinity Racing Team is a professional motorsport outfit with Spanish and Ukrainian roots that competes on the international drifting circuit. Its main stage is Drift Masters, one of the most prestigious drifting championships in Europe, which in 2026 ran over seven rounds from Italy to Poland.
The team entered three drivers this year: the Irish brothers Conor and Jack Shanahan, both in a Toyota GT86, and Konstantyn Shchurenko. Every round asks the same of them: a strong qualifying run first, then head-to-head tandem battles in a knockout bracket, where precision, speed and car control decide who goes through to the next round.

Round by round
| Round | Venue | Date | Trinity result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Vallelunga, Italy | 1 to 2 May | Conor Shanahan wins |
| 2 | Jarama, Spain | 16 to 17 May | Conor Shanahan second |
| 4 | Ahvenisto, Finland | 11 to 12 July | Jack Shanahan wins |
| 6 | Ferropolis, Germany | 13 to 15 August | Conor Shanahan second, Jack Shanahan third |
| 7 | PGE Narodowy, Warsaw, Poland | 11 to 12 September | Conor Shanahan wins |
A winning start in Italy
The season could hardly have started better. At the opening round in Vallelunga, Conor Shanahan qualified second and then worked his way through the bracket to a final against James Deane, which he won.
Two weeks later at the Spanish round in Jarama, Conor reached the final again and finished second. The result is worth more than it looks: in practice an alternator belt problem led to an engine failure, and the team's mechanics had to work against the clock to get the car ready for qualifying. They made it, and Conor drove it all the way to the final.
Jack Shanahan back on the top step
One of the defining moments of the year came in Finland. At Ahvenisto, Jack Shanahan won the round and ended a run of 1,077 days without a Drift Masters victory. His previous win had come in Riga in 2023. The weekend showed the strength of a two-car team: while Conor's car was stopped by a mechanical failure before his first tandem battle, Jack carried the team to the top of the podium.

Brothers, rivals, teammates
Few storylines in the paddock were followed as closely as the Shanahan brothers going head to head. At the penultimate round in Ferropolis, Germany, Conor and Jack met in the semifinal. Conor came through, went on to finish second in the final, and Jack took third place. For Trinity, it meant both of its drivers on the same podium.
It would not be their last meeting of the season.
Victory in front of 55,000 in Warsaw
The 2026 Drift Masters Grand Finale took place on 11 and 12 September at the PGE Narodowy stadium in Warsaw, in front of a crowd of about 55,000 spectators. Conor Shanahan fought through the elimination rounds, beating his brother Jack in the Top 16 and James Deane in a close semifinal.
In the final he met Poland's Paweł Korpuliński. A touch of the wall by the Polish driver opened the door, and Conor took the win. It was his third victory at the Warsaw stadium and his second round win of 2026.
The championship itself went to Korpuliński with 509 points. Conor Shanahan finished runner-up with 474 points, and Jack Shanahan completed the season fifth with 357 points.
The season in numbers
| Driver | Round wins | Other podiums | Championship |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conor Shanahan | 2 (Vallelunga, Warsaw) | 2 second places (Jarama, Ferropolis) | 2nd, 474 points |
| Jack Shanahan | 1 (Ahvenisto) | 3rd place (Ferropolis) | 5th, 357 points |
What sim drifters can take from it
Tandem battles are won with the same skills that sim drifters train at home: a clean entry, a steady angle and the confidence to follow another car closely without contact. If you want to work on them in a simulator, start with our guide to sim racing drifting technique, then set up your wheel with the drift wheel settings and your car with the Assetto Corsa drift setup.
Looking ahead
Across seven rounds, Trinity Racing Team proved it can race with Europe's leading drifters, through mechanical setbacks and some of the closest battles of the year. With two drivers inside the top five and a win at the season's biggest event, the team goes into the off-season with a strong base and clear ambitions on the international drifting stage.
